Parking Permits

Parking permits must be displayed on vehicles registered with FTCC Public Safety & Security. All persons involved in illegal use of a parking permit, or attempting such, may have their campus vehicle parking privileges revoked.

Curriculum Students
If you plan to park a vehicle on campus, you must have a parking permit, either temporary or permanent. A parking permit should be obtained during the registration period or during the first three days of class. When on campus, make sure your parking permit is displayed on your vehicle.

How to Register a Vehicle:
Go to the Public Safety Office in room 102 of the General Classroom Building to complete a vehicle registration form.

You will need:
– License Plate Number
– Valid Student ID Card
– Vehicle Registration

Students will be issued one (1) permit for each registered vehicle and may register a maximum of two (2) vehicles. Permits for two vehicles and one lost permit replacement may be issued at no cost to the student.

Application Instructions

Place the permit on the inside of the front, driver’s side window. Motorcycle operators will be issued a permit to be placed on one of the front forks.

  1. Clean the window with water
  2. Peel off permit
  3. Apply to window
  4. Smooth out air bubbles

Continuing Education Students
Continuing Education Center (CEC) students (including High School and GED) will be issued a Continuing Education Temporary Parking Permit by either CEC Registration and Records or an instructor. The permit must be displayed in a readable location on the vehicle windshield, dashboard or rear window.

All full and part-time faculty and staff are required to display a parking permit if parking a vehicle on campus.

Students, staff, and faculty may request a temporary parking permit if they currently have a permanent parking permit, but need to drive an alternate vehicle to campus.

The following will apply:
– The permit is free of charge.
– The permit is issued for no more than ten (10) college days. Any exceptions will be approved by the Director of Public Safety and Security or a designated representative.

Vehicles displaying handicapped placards or plates issued by the Dept. of Motor Vehicles will be allowed to park in marked handicapped parking spaces when available.

When spaces are not available, any marked space may be used unless marked for a specific purpose, i.e., Instructor of the Year, FTCC Security Only. A violation of this rule carries a penalty of up to $250 when cited by the local police agencies.

To apply for handicapped privileges, contact one of the Dept. of Motor Vehicles License Plate Agencies listed below (a doctor must sign the application).

All persons must provide the proper documentation in order to receive a handicapped permit which authorizes them to use a handicapped space. If you are not handicapped, please do not park in a space needed for the handicapped. You may be cited for misuse of a handicapped permit or the permit may be confiscated by the Fayetteville Police Department.

Application Instructions

Handicapped placards must be displayed on the vehicle rear view mirror or dashboard.
