North Carolina Libraries for Virtual Education (NC LIVE) is the premier statewide database.  It offers online access to complete articles from over 18,000 newspapers, journals, magazines, and encyclopedias.  NC LIVE also has over 24,000 electronic books and 400 videos, which includes streaming PBS video.  Users will also find thousands of images and maps, and interactive tests and tools through its Learning Express Library.

Library Use Only   This database combines award-winning biographies from respected sources and full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender, or combine criteria to create a highly-targeted custom search.

Library Use Only  Westlaw and Westlaw Next are databases especially useful to students in the Paralegal program, and are available for use on library computers.  Users can access cases, regulations, and other legal material at both the federal and state levels. Health and Wellness Information Center is designed for everyday consumers in need of

health care information. HWIC provides convenient access to easily understandable health

and medical information. Consumers can search and browse within a medical dictionary,

medical encyclopedias, popular reference books, and magazine articles.
