For additional information contact Kenneth Kleiner at (910) 678-8572 or kleinerk@faytechcc.edu
FTCC is offering a courses to learn interactive 3-D modeling and simulation. Students completing these courses will be able to create interactive 3-D objects which can be used in education, training, business, gaming and simulations. There are five courses you can take. The courses are: |
| DFT 151 - CAD I | |
| This course introduces CAD software as a drawing tool. Topics include drawing, editing, file management, and plotting. Upon completion, students should be able to produce and plot a CAD drawing. | |
|
GIS 111 - Introduction to GIS |
|
| This course provides an overview of Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Topics include the theory, implementation, and operations of GPS, as well as alternate data source remote sensing. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of GPS | |
| SGD 113 - SGD Programming | |
| This course introduces the fundamentals of programming languages and tools employed in simulation and game development. Emphasis is placed on programming concepts used to create simulations and games. Upon completion, students should be able to program simple games and/or simulations. | |
| SGD 114 - 3D Modeling | |
| This course introduces the tools required to create three dimensional (3-D) models. Emphasis is placed on exploring tools used to create 3D models. Upon completion, students should be able to create and animate 3-D models using 3-D modeling tools. | |
| SGD 172- Visual SG Environment | |
| Capstone course where students working in teams will use the skills learned in the first four courses to build an interactive 3-D object | |
