NOTE: NAS courses follow FTCC academic calendar and meet over a 16 week period.
Nurse Aide prepares individuals to work under the supervision of licensed health care professionals in performing nursing care and services for persons of all ages. Course work emphasizes personal care, vital signs, communication, nutrition, medical asepsis, catheterization, tracheostomy care, dressing changes, oxygen therapy, and legal scope of practice for Nurse Aides. Graduates of this curriculum may be eligible to be listed on the registry as a Nurse Aide I and Nurse Aide II. 


Required CNA interest meeting for Fall 2015 will be held on May 20th in HTC-111. This meeting is mandatory for any students wishing to compete for a seat in the High School Connections Nurse Aide program for Fall 2015. Students who do not attend this meeting, or send someone as their proxy, will be out of the "pool" for the program, no exceptions. It is very important that all students interested in the HSC Nursing program for fall attend this meeting!!
