These courses are held at the FTCC Horticulture Education Center at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. Students must provide their own transportation to and from this location.

Basic Horticulture is designed to give students an introduction to the broad field of horticulture. Emphasis is placed on instruction in turfgrass irrigation, plant materials, basic landscape technique, and plant propagation. Credit obtained in these courses may be transferred directly into the Horticulture Technology associate degree curriculum.

Priority enrollment for these classes will go to students enrolled in the Academy of Agriculture and Natural Sciences program at Cape Fear High School.
