These courses are held at the FTCC Horticulture Education Center at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. Students must provide their own transportation to and from this location.

Basic Horticulture is designed to give students an introduction to the broad field of horticulture. Emphasis is placed on instruction in plant science, landscape management and irrigation, plant materials, pest management and plant propagation. Credit obtained in these courses may be transferred directly into the Horticulture Technology associate degree curriculum.
