HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The Health and Physical Education Department offers a variety of fitness and wellness classes as well as sport specific classes. These classes are excellent for college transfer students or any student who would like to improve physical and mental well-being. The curriculum offers different skill levels in many classes ranging from beginner to intermediate. Through this program students learn skills that will not only increase longevity, but also quality of life.

The Fitness Centers provides fitness appraisals and is for use by FTCC curriculum students, full-time, part-time College personnel, board members, FTCC Retirees, FTCC employee and board member spouses, and children ages 13-18 and must be accompanied by a parent. Professional staff is on duty until 1-5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The hours of operation are limited, because the Fitness Centers are primarily a Lab for Physical Education and Health Classes.

Visit the FTCC Fitness Center and take a tour. One of the knowledgeable staff members will lead you through the center and answer any questions you have. You can use the facility to improve and maintain your health.
To be eligible for membership, students must be enrolled in a curriculum course or be transfer students, have a student ID with updated semester sticker on it, and pay the $5 fee for a fitness evaluation. Full time faculty, full time students, and FTCC Retirees must pay $5 for a fitness evaluation. This fee is for the academic year (August-May) and is nonrefundable.
FTCC Faculty/Staff, Retirees and Board Members: To be eligible for membership, you must pay a $5 fee. A fitness evaluation is included, if desired for one time only. Any additional fitness evaluations will cost an additional $5 each.
Continuing Education students are not authorized to use the Fitness Center. Reason being they do not pay the college activity fee, which covers insurance in case of injury while using the facility.
