A beginning course for those who expect to vacation in Japan or who
anticipate doing business with the Japanese. It will begin with an introduction
to Hiragana, both reading and writing. Conversational Japanese is included
with instruction in the culture and emphasis on the customs of the
Japanese.

RUSSIAN
(BEGINNING) Fee: $45
This is your opportunity to learn the beautiful Russian language and gain
insight into contemporary Russian life. This practical introduction to the
language will not focus on grammatical drills but will allow you to learn
the alphabet and basic grammar through lecture, exercises and discussions
on current events and cultural issues. By the end of the course you should
be able to hold simple conversations and handle practical situations.
