This course is designed for those with limited reading skills. Emphasis is placed on basic word attack skills,vocabulary, transitional words, paragraph organization, basic comprehension skills, and learning strategies. Uponcompletion, students should be able to demonstrate competence in the skills required for RED 080. This course does not satisfy the developmental reading and writing prerequisite for ENG 111 or ENG 111A.
