This course covers the development of theater from its origin to the closing of the British theater in 1642. Topics include the history, aesthetics, and representative dramatic literature of the period. Upon completion, students should be able to trace the evolution of theater and recognize the styles and types of world drama.
This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in humanities/fine arts.
