Important Note: Tuition rates are determined by the North Carolina General Assembly and are subject to change
Current Tuition rates are: $66.50 per in-state credit hr. and $258.50 per out-of-state tuition credit hr. The maximum number of hours charged per semester is sixteen. Three additional fees are also charged. A $14.00 student support fee which includes the cost of student accident insurance, student government, and other student-related activities. A $16.00 technology fee includes the cost of software, hardware, and lab support. A $15.00 CAPS (Campus-Access-Parking-Security) fee
to support the college's parking facilities, campus security and enforcement.
Tuition/Fee Payments for Third Party Sponsored Students
Students sponsored by a third party, must submit the third party authorization to the Office of Business and Finance by the payment deadline for each semester. This constitutes payment and will hold your classes. Any tuition and/or fees not covered by the third party will be the responsibility of the student and must be paid by the payment deadline. Please refer to the 2012 Spring Registration Schedule for the payment deadline.

REFUND PROCEDURES
Refunds for tuition and fees are processed approximately 2-3 weeks after the drop and add period ends. Refunds will be issued back to your credit card if paid by credit card. All other refunds will be issued to you based on your selection made at myFTCCCard.com, effective for Spring 2012.
Please make certain your correct mailing address is on file in the Registrar's Office.
REFUND POLICY
In accordance with N.C. Administrative Code,
23 NCAC 02D .0202 TUITION AND FEES FOR CURRICULUM PROGRAMS
(D) Tuition Refunds.
(1) A refund shall not be made except under the following circumstances:
(A) A 100 percent refund shall be made if the student officially withdraws prior to the first day of class(es) of the academic semester or term as noted in the college calendar. Also, a student is eligible for a 100 percent refund if the class in which the student is officially registered is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Fees are refunded at 100 percent only when all tuition is refunded at 100 percent.
(B) A 75 percent refund shall be made if the student officially withdraws from the class(es) prior to or on the official 10 percent point of the semester. Fees are non-refundable when any portion of a student's tuition is refunded at 75 percent.
IF YOU DO NOT OFFICIALLY WITHDRAW FROM A COURSE AND ARE SUBMITTED AS A 'NO SHOW,' YOU WILL BE CHARGED 100% TUITION FOR THE COURSE(S).
Miscellaneous fees are non-refundable, including: gym fees, malpractice insurance fees, replacement ID card fees, and testing fees.

1098-T TUITION STATEMENT TAX FORMS
Your 2011 1098-T tax form will be available through WebAdvisor by January 31, 2012.
You may consent to obtaining your 1098-T tax form electronically. If you consent to obtaining your form electronically, a form will not be mailed to you. You can choose this option by visiting the "1098 Electronic Consent" link in your WebAdvisor account.
A 1098-T tax form will be mailed to the students that withhold their consent to obtain their form electronically through the "1098 Electronic Consent" link and to the students that do not visit the "1098 Electronic Consent" link to make a selection.
1098-T tax forms will be available to curriculum students who had registration charges billed to their account between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Registration charges covered by a third party sponsor are not included on the 1098-T tax form.
PLEASE NOTE: FTCC reports 1098-T information as the "AMOUNT BILLED" - (Box 2) on your 1098-T
THIS INFORMATION REFLECTS AMOUNTS FOR REGISTRATION TRANSACTIONS DURING THIS PERIOD-AND SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS-FOR CLASSES THAT YOU REGISTERED FOR DURING THIS PERIOD;
IT IS NOT NECESSARILY THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR TUITION.
FTCC may answer questions related to the statement itself, but will not be able to answer any questions relating to the requirements for educations credits. Students may wish to visit www.IRS.gov or contact a tax advisor for assistance in the use of their 1098-T for tax purposes or for additional information.
