We are pleased that you are considering FTCC to obtain your educational goals. Whether you are a new student or a returning student, our mission is to assist you with answers to your questions and help to get you started.
ADMISSIONS STEPS FOR PROGRAM APPROVAL
1. Application
All students are required to submit an CFNC application* prior to registration. PLEASE PUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER ON YOUR APPLICATION FOR PROMPT PROCESSING. If you have previously attended, you will need to submit an application to reactivate your file. For Admissions information, please contact (910) 678-8473.
High School students interested in taking college classes while still in high school may go to the College Connections link for more information. These students may also submit an application through the same CFNC application* link.
*The College Foundation of North Carolina is a secured site.
2. Submit Transcripts (high school, adult high school and/or GED)
Applicants for curriculum programs are required to submit high school transcript or GED. Contact your high school (or GED institution) and request that they send an official transcript to the Admissions Office. Home schooled students must submit a copy of the home school’s approved registration from the state in which they are registered, and an official transcript including graduation date.
NOTE: ALL OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE IN A SEALED INSTITUTIONAL ENVELOPE.
3. College/University Transcript Requirement
Official College/University transcripts from an accredited institution(s) are required if an applicant wishes to:
- Apply for Veteran’s Benefits
- Have previous college/university credit(s) evaluated for transfer credit to Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC), or
- Be exempt from the College’s Mathematics, English, and computer assessment requirements
Contact all colleges where you have attended and request that they send an official transcript(s) to the Admissions Office. You must also submit your DD214, AARTS, and college credit test scores (e.g. CLEP), if applicable. You may use the Transcript Request Form to request your transcripts. FTCC address is listed on the form.

4. Placement Assessment
Contact the Testing Office at 910-678-8417 to schedule an appointment for the Placement Assessment-Accuplacer. Appointments are also available at the Spring Lake Campus, (910) 678-1000, and the Fort Bragg Campus, (910) 678-1050. The Accuplacer will assess your skills on reading comprehension, sentence skills, arithmetic, and algebra. The results will be used to place you in the appropriate courses. Study guides are available online.
5. Academic Program Approval (APA)
Meet with a counselor to choose your program of study and receive an Academic Program Approval (APA). Counseling Services is available on Main Campus, Spring Lake, and Fort Bragg. If you need assistance choosing a career, take advantage of the services in the Career Center on Main Campus.

6. Financial Aid Instructions
Go online to the FAFSA web site www.fafsa.ed.gov. The FAFSA must be filed to determine students’ financial need and eligibility for financial aid at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Based on information submitted from the FAFSA, the student will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR), and the student’s Institutional Information Report (ISIR) will be sent directly from the federal agency to FTCC Financial Aid Office. Please include FTCC’s federal school code to ensure the student’s Institutional Information Report (ISIR) will be sent directly from the federal agency to FTCC Financial Aid Office. 7. Tuition/Payment Schedule
