How to Adjust Text Size in the Web Browser/
Changing Monitor Settings

Adjusting text size in your web browser is easy. Simply follow the instructions below for the browser you use to access the Internet.
Do you use Internet Explorer?
  1. Click View on the navigation bar in the browser window
  2. From the menu, select Text Size and choose the text size you want, from the largest to the smallest. The medium setting is recommended.
Do you use Netscape?
  1. Click Edit on the navigation bar in the browser window.
  2. From the menu, select Preferences.
  3. Select Fonts under the Category column and choose the text size you want.
Do you use AOL?
  1. Leave American Online open.
  2. Launch Internet Explorer. (Click Start > Programs > Internet Explorer)
  3. Click View on the navigation ar in the browser window.
  4. From the menu, select Text Size and choose the text size you want, from largest to smallest. we recommend the medium setting.
  5. Close America Online.
  6. restart America Online. The text should appear in the new size.
Do you use another browser?
If you use another browser, please use the appropriate tools to change your text size. Refer to any available Help text for assistance.

Changing your monitor settings

If changing the settings for your Internet browser does not increase the text size, you can try adjusting the settings for your coumputer monitor.
If you are using Windows 95, 98, XP, NT 4 or NT 2000:
  1. Right click on your desktop.
  2. From the pop-up menu, click Properties.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. In the box labeled Screen Area, use the mouse to move the arrow left toward Less.
  5. Click Apply to view the new settings.
Monitor settings can also be changed by:
  1. Clicking the Start button in the lower left-hand corner of your monitor screen.
  2. Selecting Settings, then clicking Control Panel.
  3. Clicking Display and follow steps two through five from the instructions above.
