INTERLIBRARY LOAN REQUESTS

Materials which are not available online or via NC community college libraries, may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. You may request a book or a photocopy of an article from a journal or magazine. Most libraries do not lend audiovisual materials. Before requesting an article, check NC LIVE. Your article may be available there in full-text.

Items that are borrowed can take anywhere from one to two weeks to arrive, so plan ahead! If you are requesting a photocopy of a magazine article, it is possible that there will be a fee for this service. Books are lent for varying time periods, usually two to three weeks.

To request an interlibrary loan, please email below with the following information:

1)  Your name and verifiable student, staff, or faculty information.

2)  For books, the title, author, and date. If you know the publisher, that would be helpful.

3)  For photocopies of articles, the title & author of the article, the title of the journal or magazine, the date of the issue, and the page numbers. Also include the MAXIMUM amount you are willing to pay for this article. We will not exceed the amount you specify and will try to obtain the article for free.

Materials that are borrowed will be sent to the FTCC Library and held under your name. You may call 678-8247 to check on your requests.

Email your interlibrary loan requests to: library@faytechcc.edu

You can also place "holds" on books owned by other NC community colleges through our Automated Catalog.  To do this, you will need to obtain a library barcode. Books will be held at the FTCC library under your name.
