Spring Online Classes begin January 9, 2008. Check with your academic advisor or counselor about course prerequisites prior to enrolling in any online course at FTCC. Some courses have special requirements. Please check to see if any online courses require your physical attendance on the FTCC campus or in a designated proctored environment for some portion of the class. Review All course restrictions before you enroll. Textbooks are required for online classes.

 

Information for Students Enrolled in Online Classes at FTCC Spring 2nd 8 Week Online courses will be available by 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008. On March 13h go to http://blackboard.faytechcc.edu to login. If you register for courses after March 12th your Blackboard User name and password will be created within approximately 24 business hours of your registration.   **USERNAMES FOR BLACKBOARD** FTCC uses a standard naming convention to establish each student's Blackboard username and password. This data is taken directly from the information you provided when you registered for classes. This is also your student Email Username and password.  The convention is: Username: The first seven characters of your last name, the first letter of your first name and last four digits of your Student Id Number. (example: Jane P. Onlinestudent,  1234567 would be onlinesj4567 ).  Where is my Student ID#? Click here. If your last name is less than seven (7) letters, use your entire last name. Password: Your birthday (mmddyy) is your password, with no dashes or spaces. (example: January 2, 1980 would be 010280).   Search for your user name here: http://student.faytechcc.edu/lookup.asp Email Policy for Online Classes: Make sure you check your FTCC Student Email Account for email...it's located at http://student.faytechcc.edu, this is where you will receive email from your Blackboard instructors! Information about accessing your student email account is located at http://www.faytechcc.edu/OnlineSupport/Student_Email.htm All students taking an online course or using Blackboard in a class at FTCC are required to use the email account provided by FTCC to communicate with the instructor and students within the course. Exception: eArmyU students must use the email account provided for them by the Army or their AKO account. Take time to review the Online Student Orientation located at http://www.faytechcc.edu/OnlineSupport/orientation/ . This area will help you find out how to log into your online course. It will also answer a number of your questions.   Go to http://student.faytechcc.edu/lookup.asp  to verify your user name for Blackboard. Even if your name is not listed on this site, please try to login using the convention listed above.   Complete the online enrollment form located at http://www.faytechcc.edu/bb551/enroll.asp . This forms helps verify the first day a student enters an online class. This form will be available on Wednesday, January 9, 2008.   If you need help accessing your online class: Contact the Online Learning Support Center at http://d2.parature.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4286 or call 1.866.829.9660.             There is also a live chat session available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday . Friday.  When Live Support isn't active you can still select the icon and send an email that will be answered the following day. If sent on Friday, your reply to your email will be sent on Monday. Course ID, Course Title, Instructor's Name, and Instructor's email address are listed below. Some sections are combined into one course...please look at the Course Title for the combined section numbers (ex: 0901/0902/0A01FA)
