GoArmyEd Quick Reference Guide
This document is a guide to help Soldiers navigate the GoArmyEd processes or portal for Tuition Assistance questions. The processes outlined below describe portal navigation in the Soldier’s view of the GoArmyEd portal.
*****************************************************************************************
LOGGING IN:
Soldiers will log into the GoArmyEd portal (GoArmyEd.com) using their login/password.

Note: Soldiers who have received tuition assistance (TA) with a passing grade since 1 Oct 04 will receive an invitation in their Army Knowledge Online (AKO) email account beginning Mar 06 to obtain a login/password for the GoArmyEd portal.

After 1 Apr 06, Soldiers who are not in eArmyU or who did not receive an invitation through their AKO email must request a GoArmyEd login by choosing the “New Users” tab from the public view of the portal. From this tab, Soldiers will be guided through the processes necessary to obtain a login and establish a GoArmyEd account.

In order for Soldiers to obtain TA for classes starting 1 May 06 and after, they must be registered on the GoArmyEd portal; therefore, they should register for a login/password as soon as possible.

TAKING TRAINING:
Soldier training will include a module called "Soldier Quick Start." Soldier Quick Start is a complete redesign of the existing eArmyU "Bootcamp" module. It provides an overview of GoArmyEd from the Soldier perspective and highlights key policies and functionality. The link to Soldier Quick Start will be placed prominently on the home page of the Soldier view. All Soldiers new to GoArmyEd should complete the Soldier Quick Start module.

Note: If a Soldier needs to withdraw from class, the withdrawal must be done online through the GoArmyEd portal. The withdrawal will be forwarded to the school.

If the Soldier withdraws for personal reasons, recoupment procedures will be initiated by GoArmyEd. Personal withdrawal reasons require TA recoupment and will take place through an automated feed between GoArmyEd and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).

If the Soldier withdraws for military reasons, they will need to provide unit commander information, explanation of the military reason for withdrawal, and the request is subject to verification. If the military reason is approved, TA recoupment will be waived. All information and transactions occur online through GoArmyEd.
